WILD BOAR


Sounders of wild boars (Sus scrofa). Picardy, France. Wild boars live in groups called sounders or herds. A sounders is composed of females, wild pigs, and youngs. The adult males are most often solitary. At the moment of the rut, the young males must leave the sounders, leaving their place to male adults.
