Corpses of American soldiers killed by the SS in the Malmedy atrocity and identified by number lie in the snow. The Malmedy massacre was the summay execution of 84 captured US soldiers by the Waffen-SS. The massacre tok place on 17th December 1944 during the German's Ardennes Offensive, aka the Battle of the Bulge.
