A Marine pilot, Major Edward L. Kuykendall, and his crew chief, Staff Sergeant John A. Popp, are seen delivering a suspected Viet Cong (VC) individual to an intelligence center. The suspect was apprehended during a search operation conducted by Major Kuykendall in a UE (Huey) helicopter, approximately 10 miles southwest of Danang. This marked the major's fourth successful capture. This photograph was taken on October 29, 1965, as part of the American military activities during the Vietnam War.
