Nauset lighthouse is located on the Cape Cod National Seashore, a favorite summertime destination for tourists.

In November 1996 Nauset Lighthouse was moved in one piece to its current location about 300 feet away from the cliff. It was dangerously close to falling over the nearly 100 foot cliff from erosion due to New England's many fierce storms.
