EMILY PLACE RESERVE. This Reserve is at the top of Shortland .Street, andis kept in neat lawns and flower-beds. St. PaulsChurch, the church erected in Auckland, oiiginallyoccupied this site. This is a large i\esLi\e, siliiated near GovernmentHouse and Supreme Court, planted with shelter treesand laid (jut in well-kept lawns. SYMONDS STREET AND KARANGAHAPE ROAD RESERVE AND ROCKERIES. Both the above Reserves aie well laid out in rock-work and flower holders. Kaiangahape Road Reserve,which is situated close to (h-afton Bridge, is verypopulai-, and is in contiinial use as a lesting place bjCity residents and country visitors. WAKEFIELD STREET RESERVE This Reserve contains a fine monument made of NewZealand maible, at the base of which is a bronze figure,erected by the Auckland Branch of the Victoria Leagueto the memory of the men of the Imperial Forces, Colo-nial Foices, and Friendly Maoris who laid down theirlives in the New Zealand Wars. It was unveiled \^\ theMayor, Mr. .J. H. Cunson, on August 18th. 1920. OTHER RESERVES ARE: Marivare Reserve
