Piaster advertising by the publicity board of the Seattle Florists' Associa- tion was carried in all four of the Seattle daily newspapers, a design supplied by Dr. Walter A. Moore being used. Smaller space than was used on previous holidays was taken, it being the opinion of the board members that the public needs less urging at Easter to make it buy flowers than on other holidays. Heavy sales of late daffodils have been enjoyed by the Art Ploral Co. and there has also been a better demand for tulips. Some fine red and yellow varie- tif s arc coming in from the growers at this time. Kosaia Bros, report one of the most s^iceessfnl Easter sales' records in the history of their business, the delivery fleet of this shop being taxed to care for the business, and a large extra force of salespeople being required. A heavier cut of Premier roses is noted at the greenhouses and, in point of quality, this stock is the equal of anything be- ing shown on the market at the present time. Funeral work has been heavier of late, and some large comniissions on special floral pieces have been filled. In addition to the group of Seattle florists who will visit the Bellinsham tulip festival this month, the Cham- ber of Commerce has decided to send its glee club on the same trip. The majority of the visitors will drive to this event. General interest in gladiolus bulbs for spring planting is holding up splendidly, according to Henry Morgan, of Morgan's Flower Shop, where these arc
