Saint Lawrence and Saint Vincent
Saint Lawrence stands holding an open book which the young and beautiful Saint Vincent (the Protomartyr of Spain) is reading through half-closed eyes. St. Lawrence appears to be gazing at St. Vincent, also through half-closed eyes. Both young men have long curly hair and wear ecclesiastical robes. St. Vincent is barefoot. The saints were each martyred by being cooked to death on a spiked grid-iron at a time when being Christian was a bit risky.
