Cravens Heritage Trains vintage underground unit at Ongar station, 20 years after London Underground left the branch.

In 2014, to mark 20 years since London Underground left the branch, the Epping Ongar Railway held a celebration. As part of this, the preserved vintage Cravens unit. that ran the very last LU service, was brought back for one weekend, and is seen here at Ongar. The headboard ("The Silent Whistle") is the same one worn by the same unit on the last LU journey on 30 September 1994. As the power rails had been removed some years prior, the returning unit was propelled and powered by LU Eningeering Schóma Diesels during its stay. It had arrived by rail using the remaining connection at Epping Station.
