Jaime Janer Robinson (1884-1924), Corvette Captain was born on August 11, 1884 in Savannah (USA). He entered the Floating Naval School, Frigate Asturias, on July 3, 1899. He was the creator of the theories of naval shot. He embarked in 1916 on the Carlos V cruise to exercise as a professor at the Artillery Application School. In 1919, the first course for artillery specialists was held on this cruise, and in 1921 already promoted to Corvette Captain, he was appointed Second Chief of the Marín Naval Base where he installed the Naval Tire Polygon. He died on March 3, 1924 aboard the Catalonia cruise, of which he was third commander, as a result of the impact of a grenade. He is buried in the pantheon of illustrious sailors. The following inscription is recorded on the sheet: "The people From Marin to Don Jaime Janer Robinson, Corvette Captain in Affection and Admiration Test. 25-Julio-1921 Toledo/Marina Factory
