Baling presses are completely described on pages 306-317inclusive; also on page 1041. Ordinarily goods are sold in approximately 50-yard cuts,20 pieces to the bale. Corresponding pieces of paper and bur-lap are placed on top of the goods, and the pressure is thenturned on; the paper and covering are then carefully foldedinto shape, the ropes tied, the pressure relieved, and the cover-ing sewed up and properly marked and stenciled.
