An Omani gold- and silver-mounted jambiya, dated 1858 Double-edged blade with central ridge on both sides. The grip made from massive rhinoceros horn with florally chased gold sleeve and silver layers on the pommel and the front side. Wooden scabbard covered with leather on the bottom and embroidered with fine gold wire, the edges mounted in silver. The silver locket florally nielloed with owner's inscription on the reverse side and dated "1275" (=1858). Leather suspension bar embroidered in gold with tied gold parts. Later silver brocade belt.
