The flexor brevis minimi digiti arises tendinous from the oscuboides, near the groove for lodging the tendon of the peroneus longus,and fleshy from the outer and back part of the metatarsal bone of thelittle toe, to be inserted into the anterior extremity of the metatarsalbone, and root of the first bone of the little toe. Action, — to bendthis toe. p. The transversalis pedis arises tendinous, from the under and forepart of the metatarsal bone of the great toe, and from the internal sesa-moid bone. It forms a fleshy belly, which runs transversely betweenthe metatarsa
