They may be planted in pots orbulb pans six inches or more in diameter, severalbulbs in each, according to size, and treated inthe same manner as Hyacinths. Narcissi are equally desirable for spring bed-ding. They should be planted in October orearly in November to produce the best bulbs should be set from four to five inchesdeep; the larger sorts five or six inches apartand the small varieties three to four should never be planted in very windysituations. Groups of Daffodils in borders ofhardy herbaceous plants and along the edgesof shrubbery beds are exceedingly effective anddelicately beautiful. They are charming, too,planted in beds, espec
