PORT HUENEME, Calif. (Aug. 4, 2022) Seabees, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 18, lay AM2 matting to construct a landing platform for vertical takeoff during NMCB 18’s Field Training Exercise (FTX). FTX is designed to analyze a battalion’s construction capability, expeditionary logistics, and combat operations to support major combat operations, disaster response, and humanitarian assistance.
