Recruits of Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, conduct leg sweeps during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program Test at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, March 23. If a recruit received more than five deficiency marks during the test, for conducting the wrong technique or executing it incorrectly, he failed the test. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Mike Company is scheduled to graduate April 15.
