Tao god of agriculture, China. Taoism is an East Asian religion that teaches that the universe is kept in balance by a force known as Tao. There are a number of gods in the Taoist pantheon. This artwork is located in a 300-year-old temple in a region of the Bai people in China's south-western Yunnan Province. The Bai are an ethnic minority population, some of which follow Taoism.
