BRIDGEWATER, UK: SPRINGTIDE has nearly flooded the streets of this British market town with the waters of the rover close to bursting. After the UK was pounded by rain over the weekend, pictures of the iron bridge in the centre of town show how the river is close to spilling over into the nearby streets. The town made national news after severe flooding in 2011 and in 2014 a tidal barrage was installed as part of a £100 plan to combat flooding and protect homes and businesses in the Somerset Levels.
