We have disposed of three generations,and an impartial retrospect enables us to congratulate ourselveswith the thought that our ancestors were very respectable peo-ple. Old Heinrich was no ordinary man, and all his childrenaveraged up well. I do not think it arrogant to say that oldEmanuel was the most influential man of his day in LancasterCounty, and until the day of his death he retained the confi-dence of all who knew him.
