The martyr village of' Oradour-sur-Glane

Oradour-sur-Glane (Limousin region in west-central France): the original population was destroyed on 10 June 1944 by a German Waffen-SS company called "das Reich". 642 men, women and children, were massacred with weapons and fire. The ruins of the original village have been maintained as a permanent memorial and museum to express the atrocity of the massacres.
