Mid 19th c The Jafs are a sub-tribe of the Kurdish and produce wonderfully distinctive diamond lattice pattern motifs on their rugs and bags. This bag-face has multiple rows of diamond motifs, each containing latch-hooks surrounding smaller crossed diamonds. The outer border is a single row of flowers.
