Alas Purwo National Park has the status as a national Geopark since 2018 and is also a World Biosphere Reserve along with Ijen Crater which was established by Unesco in 2016. Alas Purwo Banyuwangi, whose territory is included in the Tegaldlimo District and Purwoharjo District, is a forest that has a complete natural tourist destination. Inside is a forest a vast jungle with more than 700 species of protected flora, including 50 species of mammals, 320 birds, 15 species of amphibians and 48 species of reptiles.
