The house is sur- rounded with a drain which carries off all the moisture and water, and pre- vents dampness. In- side the house is cemented all through, and these cemented floors are covered with gravel two inches deep. The house is heated in the cold weather just enough to keep water from freezing. The plan of this hen- nery is remarkable for its simplicity and hygienic arrange- ment. The cost of the labor and ma- terial is under $500.
