Nursery stock Ohio Catalogs; Plants, Ornamental Catalogs; Roses Catalogs; Flowers Catalogs; Bulbs (Plants) Catalogs. 22 The Good & Reese Company's Wholesale Trade List, THE WONDERFUL JAPANESE FERN Fern Ball This novelty from Japan we take great pleasure in introducing as one of the most satisfactory house Ferns ever offered. One was started last January, and its beautiful leaves and color at- tracted the attention of all who saw it until August, when it was placed in the cellar to rest. The center is moss-covered with Fern roots in a very ingenious manner, looking like a ball of small roots twisted together. After watering they start into life, and in a short time are covered with a mass of beautiful green foliage. If desired they may be allowed to dry up, which is very convenient when a person goes on a Summer vacation. They may be started again by simply watering as before. When growing they should be watered two or three times each week. If desired they may be cut in halves and placed in a Fern dish. The ball, before it is started, is six to ten inches in diameter. We only handle the " Xagaha" long-leaved variety; the com- mon varietv only produces short fronds. Can onlv be sent by express. 40 cents each; $ per dozen. THE GLADIOLUS. The Gladiolus is the most satisfactory, the most desirable and the most popular of all garden bulbs. Nothing else in the flow- er line costs so little, and nothing else grows and blooms so readily for anybody and everybody, in any soil or climate. It makes a display which, for brilliancy and beauty of coloring, few bulbs can equal and none surpass. GLADIOLI—MIXED VARIETIES. Our mixed Gladioli are not the poor, dull colors, old discarded red sorts and worthless seedlings usually sent out as mixtures. On the contrary, they are made up from splendid named sorts, brightest and most varied colors, white, yellow, pink, rose, blush, intense scarlet, carmine, violet, striped, blotched, variegated
