Ancient Egyptian sarcopagus coffin lid of Sekhemre-Wepmaat Intef, Gold leaf on wood, 1650-1550 BC,17th dynasty, Dra Abou'l Naga Necropolis. Louvre Museum E3019 or N712. Decorated with Ouadjet (cobra); Nekhbet (vulture, wings spread) Condition of the work: missing beard. Found Dra Aboul el-Naga. Length: 200 cm; Width: 57 cm. Sully room 323 Sekhemre-Wepmaat Intef (or Antef, Inyotef) was an Egyptian king of the Seventeenth Dynasty of Egypt, who lived late during the Second Intermediate Period, when Egypt was divided into two by Hyksos controlled Lower Egypt and Theban ruled Upper Egypt. He ruled from Thebes and was probably buried in a tomb in the necropolis. His rishi coffin, Louvre E 3019, was discovered in the 19th century and found to preserve an inscription which reveals that this king's brother Nubkheperre Intef buried and thus succeeded necropolis of Draʻ Abu el-Naga' is located on the West Bank of the Nile at Thebes, Egypt,
