The island of Caye Caulker doesn't have large sandy beaches that you might get elsewhere in Belize. Most people visit the public beach which ironically has little sand but does boast clean water. It consists of an old crumbling jetty and is located next to the Lazy Lizard bar at the Split and is a popular spot for visitors wishing to have a dip in the water.
