"Ales Stenar", Sweden's largest Viking ship setting, Kåseberga, near Löderup, Skåne, Sweden.
The name, strangely means Stones of Ale. Situated on a cliff top, it is 76m long, and comprised of 58 stones, which are not from the locality. There were 60. The stem and stern stones are and high and the whole setting is oriented north west to south east, aligning it with the summer solstice sunset and winter solstice sunrise. It has not been definitively dated, but is thought to be from between 800 and 1050 making it Viking Iron Age.
