Association the public school gardens, held an ex- hibition of vegetables grown by the children at Forest park August 30, which was attended by 7,000 children, composing the community school gar- deners. Many prizes were offered. A. H. Hummert and L. Jules Bourdet were the judges of the exhibition. A new store was opened last week at Grand and Florissant avenues, to be known as the Aurora Florist. Fred Koenig is the proprietor. The fixtures are all in white, with splendid decora- tions. B. Eymann, an old and respected gar- dener, died at his home on Gravious road last week, at the age of 75 years. Mr. Eymann was the father of Mrs. August H. Hummert and was well known by many in the trade. Samuel Roth, who has been buyer for Grimm & Gorly for the last year, has resigned and has taken over the man- agement of the Famous-Barr floral de- partment and has already made many changes which were needed. Mr. Roth reports that the first week showed im- provement, especially in the plant sales. J. S. Wilson, of Des Moines, la., head of the J. S.
