In eastern Serbia, in the gorge of the Vratna River, three natural bridges (arches) are found - Mala Prerast, Velika Prerast and Suva Prerast. Mala Prerast is situated at the end of the Vratna Gorge in downstream direction. Presently, only two natural bridges (Mala Prerast and Velika Preras) are the remnants of a former cave with an active river flow. Three natural bridges in one relatively short gorge are an outstanding and unique value. The natural value is accompanied with one having cultural significance – the Vratna Monastery, situated right at the downstream exit from the gorge.
