The locality of Polystachya Hamiltonii, W. W. Sm.(Notes Edin., viii (1915), 347), which was statedsomewhat indefinitely at the time of the description, isapproximately lat. 7° 25 N., long. 8° 30 E., in the valley ofthe Benue River.
