This machine builds staves 30 inches long-, 10 inches wide, 2l^ inches thick with concave and convex edges that make perfect socket joints. In construction the PLAYFORD CE- MENT STAVES are put up vertically, in- terlocking at the half, with joints her- metically sealed and reinforced every 15 inches with steel hoops on the outside. This makes a smooth, thin, rigid, air- tight and strong enough wall to with- stand load and storm pressures, and frost.
