CAMP TAQADDUM, Iraq (May 23, 2005) - Commander William Davidson, doctor of dental surgery and dental platoon commander with Headquarters and Service Battalion, 2d Force Service Support Group (Forward) numbs the mouth of an Iraqi Intervention Force soldier before performing oral surgery during a humanitarian assistance mission in Habbaniyah May 20. The Littlefield, Texas, native led a three-man team during the two-day mission, treating 33 patients and removing 63 teeth, mostly half-decayed, from soldiers who had previously complained of pain.
