BUFORD RAY One of seven A T Os on VanderMlts football team kett, Partee Fleming, and Joe of the most promising players on thefreshman squad are Marc Connolly, EarlyMyatt, and Bob Gude. Last year Gude wasrated as an All-Southern high school center. Beta Pi is active in the touch footballtournament, and is as yet undefeated. Wehave the strongest team in a number ofyears, and have an excellent chance of win-ning the interfraternity cup. Powell and Rube Smith have just returnedfrom a bicycle tour of Europe. WarrenTappan, r r, has transferred to Vanderbiltand has affiliated with this chapter. J. G. Lackey was recently elected president of the local chapter of A *, national legalfraternity. Jim Church, J. G. Lackey, andBob Harvey are members of the StudentUnion Board, giving us more members onthe Board than any other fraternity on thecampus.—Jim Philbrick.
