A magnificent small-sword of Reichsgraf Ferdinand von Hohenfeld, Solingen, dated 1668 Most elaborately manufactured double-edged blade of lenticular section. Five fullers in the front quarter, in the middle of the blade a number of diagonally aligned fullers. On either side, the base of the blade bears finely etched and gilt inscription in German and Latin listing the titles and estates of Baron Ferdinand von Hohenfeld, along with the date "1668".
