The front (east) side of the Waterpocket Fold in Capitol Reef National Park, Utah


Bluffs of Navajo Sandstone that have been severely tilted toward us are what remains after all the layers above them, save a few remnants of Carmel (bright red) and Entrada (dull red) sandstone have eroded away here at the leading (east) edge of the Waterpocket Fold in Capitol Reef National Park, Utah.
