The swan warned others away from its territory. LONDON, UK: ACTION-PACKED images of a swan charging towards a photographer's camera before taking flight have been captured. In one image, the mute swan could be seen as it relaxed against the rocks and pebbles that floated atop a pond. In another, the atmosphere changed entirely where the 24-pound swan was photographed as it flapped its wings in an aggressive-like manner and ruffled the water beneath its body with force. Just seconds later, the swan was pictured as it glided across the sky without a care in the world after escaping its previous surroundings. The action-packed images were taken by photographer Melissa Nolan (44) from West Sussex, UK, who captured the aggressive flight in Bushy Park, London, from just a few metres away. Melissa captured these shots using a Canon 80D camera along with a Canon 100-400mm Mark II lens. Swans mate for life and can live for up to 20 years in the wild. Nolan
