David Lewis Ogg, Commercial Agent, Ironton, Ohio, a Veteran Railroader 1AVID LEWIS OGG, commercial agent at Ironton, Ohio, was bornin Amesville, Ohio, on May 19,1855. He was educated in thecommon schools of that place and afterbeing graduated taught one term inAthens County. He entered railroadservice with the M. & C. (now part of ourSystem) on November 1, 1876, as an■extra telegraph operator and worked inthat capacity at Chillicothe and Parkers-burg for a little over two years. On. H. H. TAGGAirr August 1, 1879, he transferred his alle-giance to the S. V. R. R. (now the N. &W.), entering their service as agent atWakefield, Ohio. On February 1, 1880,he was transferred, in the same capacity,to Piketon, Ohio, and in May of the same3^ear made cashier at Ironton. On July1, 1883, he entered the service of theC. H. Sz D. as cashier at Ironton, and onNovember 1, 1915, was made was promoted to his present positionon March 1, 1915. Mr. Ogg has been in continuous rail-road service for forty years, except forpart of 1878, when he went back to thefarm when furloughed because of slackbusiness on the M. & C. Since August 1,1879, he has been off the payroll for onlytwo da3S, which he lost transferring fromPiketon to Ironton. H. H. Taggart Promoted to District Passenger Agent at Baltimore H OWARD H.
