An obelisk statue which was a memorial dedicated to Kaiser Wilhelm II in Ålesund, Norway. When the city burned down in a fire in 1904 and 10 thousand people were left homeless. The German emperor immediately sent warships with materials to build shelters for the people. Later he helped to finance the reconstruction of the town.
