The so-called Betsy Ross Hag. or the tirstStars and Stripes, is enmeshedwith much romance, but the testi-mony as to the events rests prettylargely on the statements of herself and these are not sup-ported by contemporary writers. Herhouse still exists at 239 Arch , and is eared for bythe American Flag House and BetsyRoss Memorial Association, and isa memorial to the little widowed.
