For Tery early use sow on gentle hotbeds in March, and in the open air as soon as the ground can be worked, at intervals of ten or twelve days for a succession, as long as they may be wanted. Turnip-Rooted and the Olive- Shaped varieties are the best for so-\\-ing in the summer. The winter varieties should be sown in August, and lifted before severe fi-ost, and stored in the cellar. Early and Summer Varieties ^ TRIUMPH—This new forcing or extra early radish is a most distinct novelty. The small, round, pure white roots are marked with bright scarlet, in flakes and in short lines running around the circumference. Very desirable for forcing imder glass while the bright contrasting colors of the small round roots are most attrac- tive. Skin thin; flesh crisp, tender, and mild in flavor.
