The lining of this cyst was com-posed of tissue resembling uterine mucous membrane (seeFig. 186). The authors point out differences in the micro-scopic characters between this gland-tissue and that of thenormal mucous membrane of the uterus. Thev found that 3i6 EXTRAUTERINE ADENOMYOMA chap. the glands differed in their greater width, absence of basalmembrane, and more irregular form. My own opinion isthat if Mallorys or Schriddes stains had been used thebasal membrane would have been demonstrated ; and no. II ADENOMYOMA OF ROUND LIGAMENT 317 They point out that von Recklinghausens essentialmorphological features were wanting, there were nopseudo-glomeruli, no pectinate gland-formation, and no Penpkery ofround l
