Crazing or croxing is refolding a hat-body so thatin passing many times through a felting-machine itmay present new surfaces tii be acted upon. Hat-pouncing Ma-chine. A machine forevening or eiiualizing the surface of a felted hat. Itconsists of a i-oUer covered with sand or emery paper,and rapidly revolved in contact with the surface, bywhich the projecting fibers are gi-ound off until thesurface fibers are of equal length.
