EIGHTH ARMY PERSONALITIES - Cpl. T. Welsh (1 Btn. Royal Northumberland Fusiliers) of Berwick-on-Tweed, gives his Vickers machine gun an overhaul. He has 5 1/2 years service in the Army, from France to El Alamein and through to Italy. He was wounded twice, once in France and was taken prisoner for four days at Knightsbridge in the Desert, but released by the 2 Rifle Brigade British Army
