The third specimen ismuch more imperfect. Itis a square spongy mass,which has been crushedand disintegrated; it hasonly a moderate-sizedcentral conical concavity;but a great part of the cupis wanting. As far as I have seen,all the sponges are moreor less cup-shaped, witha central conical opencavity. 2.
