Construction continues on the new Shorncliffe Pier

Shorncliffe Pier is a popular historic Brisbane destination. It was built between 1883 and 1884. In early 2012, the pier was closed due to its poor condition caused by marine borers. In May 2012 it was announced that the pier would be renewed. Pier removal works commenced in late 2014 with construction of the new pier started in early 2015. Completion is expected by Easter 2016
