Frontal coloured computed tomography (CT) angiogram of the kidneys and renal arteries of a 57 year old patient with fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD). The scan shows a severe right renal stenosis (left), with narrowing more than 80 percent. FMD is a rare blood vessel disorder that replaces healthy artery cells with cells that are more fibrous.
