White church with red doors and a red cross on top in Bonifacio Marine Cemetery, Corsica Mediterranean Sea

Bonifacio (Bunifaziu in Corsican) is a commune at the southern tip of the island of Corsica, in the Corse-du-Sud department of France. Its inhabitants are called Bonifaciens, feminine Bonifaciennes. The commune in this case is identical to the canton and is the largest commune of Corsica. Set high up over a drop and facing Sardinia, the Marine Cemetary is one of the most unusual beauty spots of Bonifacio. Beside it, the Gothic ST FRANCOIS Church and the remains of Its convent belonged to the Franciscans. In front of the cemetery, you can admire one of the most wonderful panoramas of the city.
