Bynum, who was a University student and fora year Professor of History and Political Economy here, butis now a Professor in the University of Arkansas, was re-cently married. DEATHS. Col. Cadwallader Jones, 32, who was the oldest livinggraduate of the University, died at Columbia, S. C, , aged 89. He was a colonel in the confederate army andwas at one time a prominent politician. Two of his sonswere colonels in the recent war with Spain. In the early70s Col. Jones lived for a time in Charlotte and was aneditorial writer on the Charlotte THOMAS H. BENTON.
