River Teme, near Leintwardine, Herefordshire, UK - Thursday 28th June 2018 - Environment Agency staff use electrofishing to rescue trapped fish from small pools along the dried up river bed of the River Teme near Leintwardine, Herefordshire, UK – this section of the River Teme has dried up here after a prolonged dry spell of summer weather here and further upstream in Mid Wales. The recovered fish ( mainly young salmon and trout ) will be released back into the River Teme further downstream. The weather forecast is for more hot dry weather - some rain would be welcome.
