Natural History Museum's Diplodocus. This exhibit, in the Central Hall of the Natural History Museum, London, UK, is the first seen by visitors as they enter the museum. Diplodocus was a sauropod dinosaur that lived 154 to 150 million years ago, during the Jurassic Period. This exhibit, 26 metres long, is a replica of a fossil skeleton held at the Carnegie Museum, USA. It was unveiled on 12 May 1905 in the Hall of Reptiles. It was later moved to the Marine Reptile Hall, and then moved to the Central Hall in 1979.
