Thestomach lies between the spleen and liver, whose lobes par-tially cover the pyloric end of this irregular bag, which hastwo openings; namely, the cardiac, through which food passesfrom the oesophagus, and the pylorus (gateway), out of whichthe food passes when prepared for digestion.
